That’s how my morning has started.
Just… A box of fucking rats, wires, and clothing sitting at my back
door. And the most embarrassing squeal that has ever come out of my mouth.
I’ve been in this house for two days, and Drew is already sending visitors
to do his bidding.
My cell phone vibrates on the kitchen counter as I set the open box on the
floor. Rats scamper across the white tile, shifting into human men with their
hands hovering over their dicks. They grab for the clothing first, then the
wires, before disappearing into my home.
“Did you get my package, Blondie?” asks the protective honey badger in
an all-too-cheerful tone. “Before you argue, just know they come with three
“No,” I snap, but he keeps talking.
“They’re going to install your cameras. This way, the tick-covered dicks
outside don’t know what’s happening inside—”
“Couldn’t you have waited until I got the curtains put up?”
Drew scoffs, though I hear his smile as he says, “You have blinds. Close
“How do you know they aren’t closed?” I challenge.
He always knows. He has eyes everywhere.
“Are you naked?”
I cock my head to the side as I retort, “What do you think?”

intelligent women into babbling goo at his feet. His eyes haunt me, the jagged
edges of those emerald gems glimmering with mirth whenever he cups my

head to rid my mind of wayward images. “That sounds so unpleasant.”
“Uhm, no. Can’t say I have,” he replies slowly, thoughtfully. “Anyway…
They’re going to install the cameras. Then you can fuck them, then eat them.”
“What is wrong with you?” I harshly mutter while tugging at my ponytail.
His chuckle rings out around me, filling the space too fully. “They know
“I don’t eat rodents,” I point out, though he knows. “And I’m not
interested in fucking strangers. They can run the wires and leave. I’ll hook
the cameras up on my own unless you’re coming over.”
“Aren’t you going to introduce yourself to them?” he teases.
“No,” I drawl. “Stop trying to hook me up with your minions.”
“Say hook one more time.”
I lower my voice as I growl, “I’m going to use you as bait to fish for great
He whispers back, “Hook, line, and sinker?”
“What?” I huff before he can answer me. “You’re not funny.”
“I’m a comedian,” he corrects.
“Only in the bedroom.”
